We can't wait to see everyone at our Pack meeting this Wednesday, October 1st at 7pm at the Our Lady of Peace Parish House. We have another Pack meeting planned for Friday, October 10th at the OLP gym. Then Saturday, October 18th there is a fall family fishing festival at Hempstead Lake State park that is a lot of fun. We'll give more details as the date gets closer. To finish out October, we have the Cub Fall Festival and Halloween weekend camping trip at Schiff Scout Reservation the weekend of the 24-26th. This is such a fun weekend and we hope a lot of our Scouts can attend. Please reach out to Mike or Megan with any questions. We are looking forward to a fun filled October with the Pack!

Boy Scout Troop 336 has invited us to join them on Sunday 9/21 for a thrilling day trip to Fire Island’s legendary Sunken Forest — a rare maritime holly woodland tucked behind towering sand dunes. This hidden gem offers a one-of-a-kind hike through a forest that feels like it’s been plucked from a storybook, with twisting boardwalks, ancient trees, and views that stretch from bay to ocean. Scouts will explore unique ecosystems, spot wildlife, and learn about the natural history of this globally rare habitat. It’s the perfect blend of fun, learning, and outdoor adventure!  

We hope everyone had a great summer! We can't wait to get back into Scouting soon and are working on a calendar of events that we will share when ready. There is a great camping weekend at Schiff Friday, September 26th through Sunday, September 28th. The Cub Adventure weekend is a great way to work on advancement and have fun camping. Cub Scouts in grades K through 5 (Lion through Webelos - so everyone) are invited to join. It's a rain or shine weekend and the Pack will camp out together and cook our own meals. We're sending this out now so people can start planning - we hope you all can make it. If you can't camp out you can just come out for activities on Saturday. We had an amazing time at the crossing over and camp out on Friday! Thank you so much for coming out and supporting the Pack. We are so proud of the Scouts and appreciate all the families. This was a wonderful year and we look forward to more adventures with this incredible group. We'll send out periodic updates but will suspend our weekly announcements over the summer. Our crossing over ceremony and campout is this Friday, June 13th at Greis Park. This is an exciting event for the Scouts as they move up to the next rank. Families are invited! We will have a barbeque dinner and smores! Camping overnight is optional but a lot of fun. We hope to see everyone there!

We have a busy May calendar. It was great seeing everyone at the Pack Meeting on Friday! We have a hike planned at the Marine Nature Study area on Saturday May 17th. This is a beautiful preserve on the water in Oceanside. Our next Pack meeting is Wednesday May 21st at Our Lady of Peace where we'll do a bike (or scooter) safety meeting. The we'll march together on Memorial Day in the Lynbrook parade. We hope to see everyone at these activities!
